The Overseas Bet Midrash Program is a full time academic program which combines Jewish and Israeli experiences based on a pluralistic and egalitarian approach. It is open to rabbinical students from all streams of Judaism as well as college graduates interested in a high-level Judaic studies program. The Bet Midrash offers guidance for students embarking on a spiritual quest to explore the texts of Bible, Talmud, Halacha, and Midrash. Learning is done in small classes alongside students from Israel and around the world, creating an atmosphere which is both Israeli and international. The program requires a high Hebrew level since all classes are conducted in Hebrew. Students may also take advantage of M.A. courses on a wide variety of topics in Jewish studies at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies. The Schechter Institute is an accredited institution of higher learning and credits may be transferred to other schools.
Cost does not include housing.
